About Us - The Silverscope Team

The Course Lecturer will be former Warner Music, IMN, BBC Radio 2 and IMP A&R man Richard Rogers. He has worked in the music industry for over 25 years and has set up both record companies and publishing companies worldwide. He received an A&R award for outstanding contribution to the BBC in 2005 and an award from London newspaper 'The Evening Standard' for Album of the Year with one of the artists on his own record label in 1998. As a songwriter Richard has written with artists such as Amy Studt, Gary Numan, The Prodigy, Phil Harding (Kylie, Boyzone, Dead Or Alive), Eden James, Dennis Conoley (T.Rex, Billy Ray Martin), Johnny Warman (Ringo Starr, Beatles), Lucinda Sieger, Pat Moi and Will Kevans amongst many others.
Richard has been a songwriter, a producer, a promoter and even a singer in the industry over the years and managed the famous bass player Mick Karn (Japan, Kate Bush, Phil Collins, Pete Townsend, Jeff Beck etc) until Mick's sad recent passing in 2011. Richard's book on Eurovision was released by the UK Book Publisher Input/Output in 2010. The 66 lectures that were written and available for the Malta courses Richard originally assembled in 2005 for various universities and music colleges in the UK including Thames Valley University and the London Institute Of Music, Drumtech, Basstech and Vocaltech.
In January 2010 She2's won the Bay Bands Award for the track Bubblegum. Richard is currently working on The Music In Colours project and writing a book on A&R called A&R - Inside Out.
