'Music Industry Intensive One Week Course' now available!


Certificate In Music Industry Studies


Combine a 7 day holiday with an intensive 40 hour crash course on the music business taught in laid back surroundings on the beautiful island of Malta. The course is taught by a UK music industry University Lecturer with over 25 years experience at record companies, publishers and corporations such as Warner/Chappell Music, IMP, IMN, EMAP, PRS and the BBC and with awards as an A&R man, producer, songwriter and artist. In total you will be taught 20 lectures of 2 hours each on the music industry from 9.30am to 6pm from Monday to Friday allowing you freedom in the evenings as well as a full weekend to relax and unwind in the sun. Why learn in the cold of Britain when you can learn from a music professional under a sunny climate in the Mediterranean!


Airport pick up/drop off, 7 nights accommodation and breakfast are included in the price. A maximum number of 6 students per course allows for each student to integrate fully with the lecturer on the course to maximise each students learning.

Who Can Attend?
    
The course will be useful to artists, musicians, songwriters, vocalists, managers and those with no experience that wish to learn and advance within the music industry. All students can gain more knowledge and valuable experience of how the music industry works.

Course Objectives:

     At the end of the course students will have learnt extensive knowledge of record companies, publishing, A&R, the live industry, production, management, copyright, contracts and new technology amongst a host of different areas in the music industry. You will have a good working understanding of the machinations of the industry as a whole to enable you to become more successful in your specific music area. The experience gained will prove extremely valuable for your future career within the industry.

Requirements:
     You don't need to have any knowledge of the music industry at this stage. Attention to detail is a quality that can help on this course, but above all it is necessary to have a real passion for music and a desire to learn about how the music industry works.

Awards:
     You will gain a Certificate in Music Industry Studies for full completion of the course.

What is included:
     Included in the price are 7 nights accommodation and breakfast, airport pick up and drop off from/to Malta International Airport. For the course itself you receive 20 two hour lectures and all notebooks, writing materials and extensive course notes are provided with over 40 pieces of literature included providing a library of important relevant information. Also refreshments are provided free of charge. All taxes and VAT are included in the price.

What you need:
     Simple. All you need to do is get yourself a return flight to Malta. From the UK you can find many airlines such as Ryanair, Air Malta, BA, Easyjet & BMI to name but a few.

In the event of cancellation:

Please note in the event of cancellation on your part that you are able to receive a 100% refund up to two months before the first day of the course or you can exchange for the same course at a later date at no extra cost.

If you cancel up to a month before the start of your course you will receive a refund of 70% of total cost of the course/accommodation. You may however also exchange for a different date at a minimal administration charge of €50.

If you cancel less than 2 weeks before the start of the course you will receive a refund of 25% of total cost of the course/accommodation. Due to the lateness of the cancellation sadly we are unable to reschedule your course to a different date. It would be unlikely that we could get a replacement as such short notice. However if you are able to get in a replacement yourself then this an option for you and we would not charge you a fee for a replacement person.

If you cancel less than 1 week before the start of the course you will receive a refund of 10% of total cost of the course/accommodation. Due to the lateness of the cancellation sadly we are unable to reschedule your course to a different date. It would be unlikely that we could get a replacement as such short notice. However if you are able to get in a replacement yourself then this an option for you and we would not charge you a fee for a replacement person.

If you do wish to cancel or exchange your course then please email us immediately on email to maltamusic@live.com giving your course start date and we will reply to you asap.
